The coloration of peach fruit depends on pigments such as anthocyanins and carotenoids, such as phytoenes, α- and β-carotenes, γ-carotene, lutein, and zeaxanthin, which are responsible for the fruit's yellow-red color. As the ripening process progresses, chlorophyll content decreases significantly, while carotenoid and anthocyanin content increases. In some peach varieties, maximum carotenoid accumulation is achieved 122 days after pollination, i.e., at the end of ripening.
However, commercial coloring is difficult to achieve, which can lead to delayed harvesting and, consequently, a loss of yield. Therefore, it is crucial to implement treatments to obtain attractive fruit and accelerate ripening. Nutritionally, there are ways to increase the accumulation of pigments that promote coloring.
To put an end to this problem, at Cultifort we have FASKOLOR, a formulation of potassium complexed by organic acids with a peptide complex specifically Selected to accelerate and improve the synthesis of coloring molecules in fruits. With FASKOLOR It accelerates the specific ripening cycles of fruits, having a particularly notable effect on the synthesis of phenylpropanoid compounds, among which are anthocyanins.
Potassium plays an important role in osmotic regulation, sugar increase, and color. Peptide complexes, meanwhile, accelerate specific physiological ripening cycles. By accelerating the biology of ripening,, the fruits can reach the sugar and color levels required by quality regulations sooner, allowing for earlier harvesting.

In addition, the organic acids contained in FASKOLOR They promote rapid assimilation and translocation in the plant, increasing the effectiveness of applications and improving response.
FASKOLOR get these results purely nutritionally, hormone-free, thanks to the nutrients present, which meet the specific needs of fruit ripening. The combination with phytoregulatory products enhances their effects and helps reduce the doses applied, improving the profitability of this type of treatment.
QUALITATIVE TEST WITH FASKOLOR ON PEACH
In 2016, a qualitative test was carried out on peach with FASKOLOR on a plot of land in the Murcian town of Cieza, in collaboration with a local Cultifort distributor. The test consisted of comparing the treatment with FASKOLOR compared to the standard treatment normally used on the farm.
Tests were performed at 0.3% concentration of FASKOLOR, applied on May 22 and 29, that is, at veraison and one week later.
RESULTS

Photograph taken during the first assessment on June 3, 2016, at the foot of the fruit field harvested by the farm's harvesting staff. These were the first fruits picked during the first harvesting pass, so the workers only harvested the ripest fruit. On the left: the box of fruits treated with FASKOLOR; on the right: fruits treated with the usual treatment. Se You can see that the FASKOLOR clearly exceeds the standard.

The results showed that with FASKOLOR a striking red layer is obtained on the fruits that, with the other treatment, has a much lower intensity, which makes the fruits treated with FASKOLOR are much more attractive to the consumer and, in addition, can be harvested earlier, since they will reach commercial coloration sooner.
Thus, the farmer can obtain earlier and higher quality fruits, which has a very positive impact on the price that will be obtain from the sale of the same.
