What crop are you working with this campaign?
I have planted short cucumber and lamuyo pepper, which I sell through Alhóndiga La Unión.
And what treatment did you need?
I receive a visit from technicians from the Tecniagro Group, and depending on the growing season, one or the other has been applied. In this short cucumber crop, we have treated to prevent fungal and bacterial diseases, thrips, and flies, and we have incorporated some type of nutritional element. One of the bases of this treatment has been Spiralis Eco Long Life, from the company Cultifort.
How do you treat with Spiralis Eco Long Life, via foliar or root?
Well, since I tried it and saw the results, I've decided to use it both ways, depending on the crop. For cucurbits like cucumber, but also for zucchini where I've used it on occasion, I've used it foliarly for faster and more direct absorption, and I've seen very good results. For solanaceae, I prefer to treat with Spiralis Eco Long Life through irrigation, where the results have also been exceptional.
What would you highlight about Spiralis Eco Long Life? What are the results you're talking about?
Since I started using it, the plant suffers less from climatic stress, whether due to excessive or insufficient temperature; the plant is more balanced and has good vigor. With the application of Spiralis, I also see increased production, especially in cucurbits, which undergo much faster growth processes. Furthermore, there are no growth stops, and the fruit has good color. Spiralis also improves the plant's defenses, which results in fewer virus infections, which is very important. Last season, I planted zucchini and pulled it out because the crop simply became old, while other fellow farmers told me they had to pull it out due to the presence of viruses at the end of the cycle, while I didn't have that problem with Spiralis. Now, with the cucumbers shortened, there are no plants with yellowing or yellow veins.
How many crops have you used Spiralis Eco Long Life on?
It's a fertilizer solution designed for all types of crops. I'm using it this season on lamuyo peppers and short cucumbers, but I've also used it on zucchini and tomatoes during the summer season. I use Spiralis Eco Long Life on all my crops and have been very satisfied with them all.
Would you then recommend Spiralis Eco Long Life?
Yes, of course. I would recommend applying it from the beginning of the crop because the best results are seen gradually with regular applications. By improving the overall condition of the plant, it produces more regularly, the quality of the fruit is better, and it flowers better, which translates into more fruit. In short, there are improvements in all aspects.
Have you had any problems with mixing it with pesticides?
No, none. I've mixed it with pesticides for fungicide and insect control, and there have never been any problems. Furthermore, I apply integrated pest management to my crops, and Spiralis is fully compatible; in fact, it's an ideal solution for organic farming. In short, it's an easy-to-mix product with which I've seen good results in all my crops.
